For a book design class, I redesigned the cover for The Alchemist. I decided to go with two concepts seen in omens throughout the book: the two birds fighting, and the liquid gold. The birds represent the violence and journey seen in the book, and the gold is the refinement of the main character into a stronger, more developed person.
